Real 3D transforms, and the modern web renders faithfully
The from-scratch engine got a large rendering upgrade this release: fourteen fixes, each checked pixel for pixel against the reference browser. The headline is real three-dimensional transforms. Card tilts, flips and perspective scenes now render with a true perspective projection instead of being flattened, with correct foreshortening, hidden back faces, and smooth anti-aliased edges. Alongside that, a sweep through modern interface styling closed a long list of gaps that show up on almost every real site: pie charts and progress rings (hard-stop conic gradients) that used to come out blank, gradient borders that used to fall back to a plain black line, edge-fade and spotlight masks, dashed and dotted outlines, clamping a card's text to a set number of lines with an ellipsis, tag pills and checkboxes that now size correctly inside flexible rows, real range sliders and progress bars, and card shadows that are now soft and light the way the reference browser draws them rather than dark and hard. The engine test gate passes in full at 6183 checks and 29 pixel-comparison trophies.
