Fingerprint Shield: see and prove what a page tried to learn about you
A new Fingerprint Shield shows and proves what a page tried to learn about your device. Some pages try to build a hidden ID from your hardware, a drawing test, or your audio engine to track you without a cookie. Floati already answered every one of those the same way for every user, so it never worked; now the Explain panel shows it happening. Press the shield to see, in plain language, which parts of your device a page probed, how much identifying information a normal browser would have leaked, and the proof that Floati leaked none. It opens instantly, and nothing about the page ever leaves your device. The security architecture aspect moves 44 to 46; the overall platform score stays at 70.
