A downloads manager that looks out for you, and scan-free QR that reads any code on a page
A big update to downloading and to reading QR codes, all on your device. Downloads now have a proper manager: every file shows its type, its size, and the site it came from - with that site's real icon, drawn from your own history rather than fetched from anywhere - grouped by day, with one-click open, reveal-in-folder, copy-link and re-download. A small download island now sits by the tabs and shows progress while a file arrives, then taps through to the full list. And it watches your back: a file that runs code is flagged, a disguised one - something named like a document that is really a program - is called out clearly, an insecure source is marked, and you can copy any file's fingerprint to check it against a published one. You can also choose a folder for each download instead of always saving to Downloads. Reading QR codes off a page now works whether the code is a picture, drawn as crisp vector art, or painted by the page as it runs - point at it and open its link, no phone needed. The overall platform score stays at 70.
