The GPU rasterises the page's boxes, not just composites them
The compositor blends already-drawn layers on the GPU; this goes a step deeper and RASTERISES the paint list itself on the device. Solid rectangles, rounded rectangles, and border rings - the backgrounds, cards, and outlines that make up most of a page's non-text pixels - are now drawn on the GPU as signed-distance-field shapes in a single pass, anti-aliased and blended in hardware. It is proven against the software rasteriser to within a single level per channel: solid fills, translucent overlaps, and plain borders are bit-for-bit identical, and only rounded corners differ, by one level on a few edge pixels. Verified on screen through the app: a scene of rects, rounded cards, and a border ring rasterised on the GPU and presented straight to the window. The GPU aspect moves 6 to 11; text, images, gradients, and WebGL are still on the software path, so there is a lot of headroom left. The overall holds at 57.
