Rendering a real page with Floati's own engine no longer hangs
Floati can render a page with its own from-scratch engine instead of the system browser, and on a heavy real-world page - a long an encyclopedia article, say - that had been hanging on the loading spinner and never finishing. The cause was video: a page that embeds a clip was quietly downloading the entire original video file, tens of megabytes of it, before it would draw a single thing, and one large clip could hold the whole page hostage for more than half a minute. Now the engine gives video a short window to load, and if a clip is too big to arrive quickly it draws the page without waiting - the same order of priorities a normal browser has, where the words and pictures come first and video fills in after. Rendering a real page with Floati's engine is fast and dependable again.
