The Reflect toolkit validates its target like the standard
Another corner of JavaScript's built-in tools brought in line with the standard. The Reflect toolkit, which programs use to inspect and change objects in a controlled way, now reports a clear error the moment one of its operations is aimed at something that is not an object, exactly as every other browser does, instead of quietly doing nothing or the wrong thing. This covers reading, checking, changing, defining and removing properties, and reading or adjusting an object's prototype and whether it can grow. The toolkit also now identifies itself by name when inspected. Code that was already correct is unchanged. The JavaScript language aspect moves 95 to 96; the overall platform score stays at 70.
