What this is
The Floati Birthday Globe is a free community feature where you can pin your birthday to an interactive world map. Other visitors can see your first name, city, and country alongside your birthday.
What data we collect
- First name and optional last name (displayed publicly if you opt in)
- Email address (used only for verification and optional birthday greetings, never displayed publicly or shared)
- Birthday (month and day are public; year is only shown if you enable "show age")
- City and country (displayed publicly on the globe)
- Profile photo (optional, displayed publicly alongside your pin)
How your data is used
- Your pin appears on the public Birthday Globe for anyone to see
- Your email is used to send a one-time verification link
- If you opt in, we send you a birthday greeting email once a year on your birthday
- We do not sell, share, or transfer your data to any third party
- We do not use your data for advertising or marketing beyond the birthday email you opted into
Your rights
- You can request deletion of your entry at any time by emailing birthdaywishes@floati.life
- You can update your entry by re-submitting with the same email address
- Your email address is never shown publicly on the globe
Data storage
Your data is stored securely on our servers. Profile photos are resized and compressed before storage. IP addresses are hashed for spam prevention and never stored in plain text.
